24 hours mandatory theoretical courses
At the Eureka driving school, you will not only learn how to succeed at the SAAQ examination, but you will also be prepared to take the road. Hence few changes compared to the new courses.
From January 17, 2009, a 24 hours theoretical course will be obligatory in order to obtain the driver’s permit. The course will be spread over the 12 months of the waiting period that is imposed by the government. The in-car courses for a total of 15 hours will be inserted as practical lessons inside of the theory.
The theory will be done in a dynamic way, by groups of three in workshops animated by an instructor. This new course will consist of four phases.
Phase I. Essentially a theoretical part. Will be related to the driver’s behaviours and will have a duration of one month. At the end of this phase, the student will obtain a learner’s permit after a written test.
Phase II. For a duration of one month. The course will include four in-car exits framed by two theoretical modules. This phase will be dedicated to the manoeuvring of a passenger vehicle.
Phase III. For a duration of two months. Four exits in the car framed by three theoretical modules. The goal of this phase is to learn how to share the road network.
Phase IV. For a duration of two to three months. Two theoretical modules framing five in-car exits of which one practical evaluation. At the end of the last theoretical module, the student will have to undergo a theoretical examination at the SAAQ. The emphasis will be put on the autonomy and ecological driving.
A driving course attestation will be grant following the succeeding of the course, in order to perform the practical examination.
Note; for an optimum result, it is essential to assiduously follow each phase of this course. |
